Hello stampers!! Do you all have your Christmas shopping done, and all of your little treats and goodies you're giving away all made up?? haha!! Maybe my tutorial today will help!
We're going to make these cute little Ornament Treat Bags:
I made these for some very special people who will be visiting me this week. In this example, I used the shimmery snowflake design from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.
Let's get started with the tutorial:
Step One: Cut a piece of patterned paper 3" x 10" and score at 1", 5", 5-1/2", & 6"
Step Two: Fold your paper so it resembles the bag, like this:
Step 3: Use the Ornament Punch (love this punch!) and place it over the bottom edge of the bag. You will be cutting through the front and the back:
It will look like this after you're done punching:
Step 4: Cut a small cello bag (found on page 159 of the current BIG catalog) down to 4-1/4" tall, and put about 8 or 9 Hershey Kisses in it:
At this point you will want to "test" a few of your hershey kisses to make sure they taste okay. Calories do NOT count when you're making gifts for other people!
Step 5: Put your bag of kisses inside your paper ornament bag, hold it all together with the flap down, and punch two 1/4" holes to put some ribbon through:
Step 6: Tie it up with some pretty coordinating ribbon, and add a tag. I used the Delightful Decorations stamp set which coordinates with the ornament punch. The "to, from" ornament is perfect! I used Silver Elastic Cord to tie on the tag.
You have an adorable finished project to give to a friend or a co-worker! The bags are easy to make and don't take much time. The great thing about Hershey Kisses these days is they come in SO many fun colors! You can coordinate them to go with almost any project! I wanted to use the pretty Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon on this bag, because the paper is so neutral you can think outside the box a little bit! The purple kisses work great with this.
Here again are the finished photos of the bag (under better lighting).
Here is a photo of a group of them that I made. You can change up your paper colors and ribbon to make them all a little bit unique!
Be sure to contact your friendly neighborhood Stampin' Up! demo to order your Ornament Punch ($15.95) and Delightful Decorations ($21.95) stamp set today! Don't forget your cello bags (only $3.95 for 50 of them!) and some beautiful designer paper.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and can take advantage of using it.
Supplies: Christmas Cocoa Specialty Paper, Whisper White card stock, Small Cello Bags, Delightful Decorations Stamp Set, Ornament Punch, Rich Razzleberry & Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Makers, Silver Elastic Cord, Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon.

OK these are just the coolest treat bags ever and you can be sure I'll be creating some of them. I already have all the supplies so I'm good to go. TFS

Great idea. I gave out bags of goodies last year with home made bags. It was such a pain to fold. I wish I'd had this tutorial then! But, I'm definitely going to try thi.
