Last week my husband and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary. We were married on October 6th. I wanted to get married in the Fall since it is my favorite season. I made this card for my husband, and I think it is rather "Fall-ish".
For the focal piece, I started by sponging the background with sponge daubers. I used Marina Mist and Old Olive ink. Then I stamped the floral designs with Autumn colors: Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, and More Mustard. I wanted a "shadow" effect on the leaf looking ones in the middle, so I stamped that image in two different colors, slightly off from each other. Here is a better view:
I didn't use the Stamp-a-ma-jig or anything to line this up. I just eyeballed it and hoped for the best. I was actually quite impressed with how well I did! LOL.
It's rather hard to tell in the photo, but I added an extra layer to this card, that is texured with the "Distressed" texture plate. I finished it off by adding some Hemp Twine.
I don't have any real recent photos of us, but I do have one from about a year ago with "the kids". We are working on another family photo shoot, so hopefully I can update my pics soon!
Thanks for popping in today to check out my Anniversary card!
